Looking to Make Healthy Changes? Looking to make some healthy changes, but don’t know where to start? “Healthy Conversations,” a new online health support program that CDPHP is launching on Jan. 1, 2010, may be able to help.
With Healthy Conversations, you take charge and create a plan to make healthy changes that work for you. Each program is tailored to your needs, based on your responses to a series of questions. You can participate in as many Conversations as you like. Programs include: Getting active—Find ways to make small changes to include activity in your day-to-day life. Healthy eating—Learn how having a positive attitude about food and eating can affect your weight and nourish both your body and mind. Healthy weight—Create a personal weight loss plan and learn tips to help you work toward your goal. Healthy thinking—Learn how to deal with negative thoughts that can get in the way of enjoying life. Learn to control and stop them through the “Watch, Check, Correct” approach. Quitting smoking—Have you been frustrated by trying to quit smoking in the past? Learn how making short-term goals can help you stay smoke-free. Sleeping well—Learn how your sleeping habits affect your health and steps you can take to ensure a good night’s sleep. Dealing with low back pain—Learn about treatment choices and how to decide which option is right for you. SmartMove: These tools are great to help you with your New Year’s resolutions.
